Summer IGNITE Parent FAQ
iThrive is a youth development coaching institute designed to support young people as they grow in confidence, character, and real world readiness.
We provide structured, engaging experiences that help youth strengthen life skills, social awareness, and leadership presence in ways that feel meaningful and relevant to them. iThrive is not therapy and not a traditional afterschool program. It is an intentional developmental journey that blends structure, connection, and growth.
Families choose iThrive because they want more than supervision. They want purposeful development.
iThrive offers a hybrid model, combining virtual engagement with in-person experiences based on the program and season. This approach ensures consistency, accessibility, and meaningful connections while respecting family schedules and wellness. Enrolled families receive clear details on formats and schedules.
Families often describe noticeable growth in how their child shows up academically, socially, and emotionally, not through pressure, but through consistent, intentional engagement.
While every youth’s journey is different, families commonly observe:
• Stronger school engagement and confidence
Youth demonstrate improved focus, participation, and confidence in expressing ideas at school and in group settings.
• Advanced communication and social skills
Youth grow more comfortable articulating thoughts, listening to others, collaborating, and navigating group dynamics with maturity.
• Healthier emotional awareness and self-management
Youth become more aware of their emotions and better equipped to respond thoughtfully in moments of stress or challenge.
• Increased accountability and follow-through
Families often notice improved consistency, responsibility, and commitment to goals over time.
• Greater leadership presence and self-belief
Youth begin to see themselves as capable contributors, willing to lead, support peers, and take ownership of their growth.
Above all, families share that iThrive provides a space where youth feel challenged, supported, and inspired, leading to growth that extends beyond the program itself.
iThrive is designed as an ongoing journey rather than a one time experience.
Growth happens through consistency, relationship, and time. While families may begin with a specific program or season, many choose to continue as their child develops. Our structure supports long term engagement while allowing flexibility for families.
Youth safety is foundational to iThrive. We prioritize physical, emotional, and relational safety across every environment, whether virtual or in person.
Our Thrive Coaches and team members complete rigorous training aligned with trauma informed, youth centered practices. Individuals working directly with youth are screened through background checks and fingerprinting requirements consistent with our safety standards.
We operate with clear supervision, structured environments, and established policies that guide communication, behavior support, and escalation when concerns arise. Families can expect professional conduct, consistent expectations, and a culture of accountability designed to protect youth and uphold trust.
Getting started is simple.
Families begin by completing an inquiry or enrollment form, followed by a brief process to ensure program fit and readiness. Once enrolled, families receive clear onboarding information, schedules, and next steps.
We value alignment and preparedness for both youth and families. We’ll handle the setup, the schedule, and the journey from there.
iThrive is open and welcoming to youth from all backgrounds and experiences. Our programs are designed to support a wide range of children and teens through structured, supportive, and engaging environments.
At the same time, iThrive is built around consistency, clear expectations, and guided participation. Many youth thrive in this type of structure, including those who benefit from routine, predictable rhythms, and intentional coaching support.
Because every child is unique, we believe in exploring fit thoughtfully. Families are encouraged to learn more, ask questions, and consider whether iThrive aligns with their child’s needs, interests, and learning style. Our goal is to create an environment where youth feel supported, respected, and positioned for growth.
Thrive Pro is iThrive’s adult focused wellness and coaching experience.
It is designed to support the adults who care for, guide, and lead youth by offering space for reflection, growth, and connection. Thrive Pro reflects our belief that healthy youth development is strengthened when the adults around them are also supported.
Thrive Pro is available to participating adults and is gifted to active staff members, volunteers, and board members as part of their service to the institute.
